Firespring is pleased to announce that we have joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative, a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.
We’re proud to join thousands of other global companies that are committed to taking responsible business action to create a world we all want to live in. This is in line with our commitment to leverage our people, products and profit to do more good as well as our status as a Certified B Corporation®. To us, our social and environmental impact are just as important as bottom-line profitability.
The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 9,500 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 70 local networks.
Jay Wilkinson, CEO and founder of Firespring, says, “Our goal at Firespring is to be the best corporate citizen that we can be. Committing to these 10 principles was a natural next step for us as we actively advocate for every company in the world to stand up for what is right for all people—not just the owners and shareholders of the companies.”
Firespring is located in Lincoln, Nebraska and provides marketing, printing, websites and strategic guidance to thousands of businesses and nonprofits all over the world. Visit our profile on the UN Global Compact website to learn more about our company, our purpose and our mission.
